In collaboration with Engineering for Kids, Academia Education is launching a fundraising campaign 'Help Myanmar Breathe' as a donation channel to install 20 m3 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Plant. We will be placing the machinery to the emergency locations in Myanmar (Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy and others, etc) working together with our identification team. We are raising funds to help Myanmar fight the deadly surge during this Covid-19 third wave, as the number of Covid-19 cases and the death toll continues to rise each day.
We are having approximately hundreds of deaths every day, people are facing hardships to access oxygen and medications. Numerous households are losing their loved ones and patients are overflowing in hospitals. Oxygen has particularly become very scarce across the country with many people queuing to obtain enough oxygen since 2 am to keep their loved ones alive to this growing crisis.
The image of many patient families crying and crowding outside few open hospitals shows the desperate need to get urgent medical help. This made us start this movement to help those in need.
We, the Academia Education, Engineering for Kids Myanmar, and Friends & Families are collaborating to procure and deploy the emergency innovative solution: Oxygen Plant-in-a-Box to produce large volumes of medical oxygen. It’s a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) plant installed in a shipping container for supplying oxygen. The plant will be the filling station that can produce 40L x 80 units of oxygen in one day.
The Oxygen Plant-in-a-Box can save many lives of thousands of patients in Myanmar, young and old, those suffering from COVID-19. We need your help and support to make us fulfill the #HelpMyanmarBreathe fundraising goal.
